The NeoMarketWays Society
Sri Lanka × Europe. One table. New connections.
In January 2027, The NeoMarketWays Society brings The Market Table to Colombo for the first time.
Market Table Colombo Nº01 will bring together a carefully selected group of entrepreneurs, business leaders, international companies and market experts for an evening of conversation about Sri Lanka’s changing economy and its growing connections with Europe.
There is no stage, no panel and no long programme of presentations. Instead, twelve to fifteen people will sit around one table to exchange perspectives, share local knowledge and explore where new business relationships might begin.
The question around the table
Where are the next opportunities between Sri Lanka and Europe and who can make them happen?
Sri Lanka is entering a new chapter. After several difficult years, the conversation is increasingly moving towards investment, competitiveness, exports and international growth.
For Sri Lankan businesses, this raises questions about new customers, distribution channels and partnerships beyond the island. For European companies, it creates an opportunity to look again at a market strategically positioned in South Asia and at the companies, entrepreneurs and ideas emerging from it.
The first Colombo Market Table will look in both directions.
One table. Different perspectives.
The value of The Market Table lies in the people sitting around it.
The Colombo table will bring together a deliberately varied group. Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and established businesses, international companies, investors, market-entry specialists, people with experience in distribution and trade, and selected voices with a deeper understanding of the country’s economic development.

Not everyone around the table will come from the same industry and that is intentional.
The aim is to create a conversation that crosses sectors and conventional business circles, bringing together people who may have good reasons to know one another but might otherwise never meet.
Three conversations
The evening will revolve around three simple questions.
01 — What is changing?
02 — Where is the opportunity?
03 — Who needs to meet?
No stage. No long presentations. One table.
The Market Table is deliberately small.
There are no conventional panels and no sequence of corporate presentations. A short opening perspective sets the scene before the conversation moves around the table.
Dinner is part of the format rather than a break in the programme. The evening is designed to leave enough time for disagreement, questions, unexpected perspectives and the conversations that often happen when an agenda is not packed from beginning to end.
Why Colombo
Colombo is a natural place for this conversation.
As Sri Lanka’s commercial centre and its principal international business gateway, the city brings together established companies, entrepreneurs, investors and a new generation of businesses looking beyond the domestic market.
At the same time, renewed international interest in Sri Lanka makes this a particularly interesting moment to bring local and international perspectives around the same table. It is to explore what can be built between Sri Lanka and Europe next.
The Venue
Above Colombo. Around one table.
Market Table Colombo Nº01 will take place at Virticle by Jetwing, high above the streets of central Colombo. With views across the city and towards Colombo’s illuminated Lotus Tower, Virticle provides a distinctive setting for the first gathering of The Market Table in Sri Lanka.
The venue combines contemporary Colombo with a strong sense of place. Its kitchen draws on Sri Lankan ingredients and local produce, bringing another perspective on the country to the table.

Around the table
Market Table Colombo Nº01 will be limited to approximately 12 guests.
Participation is by invitation. NeoMarketWays will curate the table to ensure a useful mix of perspectives, experience and international ambitions.
There will also be a small number of places for companies and individuals with a particular interest in the Sri Lanka–Europe business relationship to request consideration for the table.
